Combo Drives No More in 2005

No more Combo Drives (CD Burner/DVD ROM) in Apple Notebooks at some point in 2005? As notebook sales heat-up, there’s a competitive edge to offering DVD Burners as standard equipment. Look for Apple to start on this course sometime, problably mid 2005.
My thought is that the standard may be the current Super Drive (8x DVD Burner/CD Burner), with upgrades and higher-end models coming with mult-format (DVD +/-R) and dual layer options.
