Oracle Gives a Big Nod to Apple

Reportedly, Oracle has begun running Apple’s Xserve RAID servers within their technology infrastructure. Citing a cost savings by 3 times, per megabyte. That turns into huge savings when Oracle plans to expand anywhere from 50 to 100 terabytes of Apple’s RAID storage systems.
Oracle continues to move forward with their plan to release their 10g software for the OS X platform sometime in 2005. This will be a huge boost for the Apple platform, and could lead to more Apple server adoption among corporations which could translate further into desktop adoption as well. Grand hopes, but with a big hitter like Oracle behind them, it could make for bigger things to come for Apple’s marketshare.
