Wireless Remote for iPod Now Available

Written on January 26, 2005 by Nick Santilli and No one has commented

The DLO iDirect Remote Control for iPod will set you back $50, but will also set you back away from your iPod with full control of its music.

There’s a small IR adapter that fits into the headphone jack - resembling the size of the iTrip from Griffin - and then a small palm sized remote control unit.

So now you can play your docked iPod music from across the room, whether playing through your computer speakers, dock speakers, or directly connected powered speakers (it’s got a headphone jack pass-through) you can control them from around the house.

In case you’re saying, “great, but how do I control iTunes through my stereo/Airport Express remotely?” then you could use Salling Clicker or Romeo with a bluetooth enabled cell phone. I do it and it works great.
