I was really hoping for something designed by Apple, not motoroloa. Something that looked like an ipod mini with a numberpad.

I wouldn't call it the iPhone. That will be a fully functional cell/wifi/voip phone from Apple, not just a Moto phone that can play music.

I don't use phones for music.

Frankly I'm against the whole convergence thing though.

If you just want a cool phone with industrial design like Apple's the RAZR V3 is a good match. And the SLVR V8 and PEBL V6 seem intriguing.

And since it's not really an iPhone, way to go on the misleading title.
