Just a little sarcasm guys... the WWDC is meant for developers so naturally us lowly consumers are going to be disappointed by the lack of big announcements. For the developers who were there I'm sure it was a blast! For the rest of us on the sidelines watching via Quicktime... not so fun. But now that I'm back in the Bay Area I hope to go next year and feel a bit of that WWDC excitement!

Even TAB's very own Rich Trouton seemed quite impressed with the whole ordeal which he posted about just days ago: http://theappleblog.com/2006/08/12/and-thats-a-wrap/

You're totally right...

Except about WWDC, I'm a developer and I thought it was fantastic, as did many other developers (such as Wil Shipley and other high profilers). I'm not let down at all, perhaps your expectations were unrealistic?

At least, it is an excellent way to get the stock price to drop, right before any mid september product announcements, which will make it bounce right back up.

That almost seems potentially shadier.

This kind of news always makes me laugh. Apple is taking the initiative to fix their problems and get their accounting errors fixed and there are stories about them getting delisted from Nasdaq. I saw the first story in the WSJ and laughed.

No, Apple won't be delisted. They were sent a standard notice by Nasdaq for filing late. They had already notified Nasdaq and the world that they would file late, so it was no shock to anyone except those under a rock.

I think this is the best move by Apple, and not only do I not think it's a bad move I think it will actually make their stock price rise in the long run.
