The other concern I'm sure they've been concerned with is propagation of iPod-based viruses. It hasn't been a problem yet, but if Apple adds a wireless feature and starts to promote iPod promiscuity, you can be sure that viruses will start popping up. True enough, Akshay. Job realises this and is current hindered by the low wireless transfer speeds. Also having a builtin wireless chip means lower battery life. Battery technology doesnt seem to be getting any better in the future, but having a more socialable ipod is perhaps a reasonable tradeoff. Psp`s wifi does quite well in ad hoc mode, although I`m not sure what the max speeds are. There is no doubt that social networking is the future. Why should anyone buy a Zune if their phone is doing the same things Zune does. The difference between a Zune and a regular multimedia phone is almost none. The ipod instead is unique. They just announced 5.5G and that would make a great number of people quite upset. Anyways Jobs realizes Zune isn't anything to worry about because when is the last time Microsoft made ANYTHING correctly the first time?
