[...] I’ve had this article from Computer World sitting in my READ Bookmark folder for a few days. I finally got around to it, and there’s a few items I feel the need to comment upon. They’ve written-up “15 Things Apple Should Change in Mac OS X”, but I feel as if they’ve missed the mark on some of those 15 things. [...]

I use safari and I love that the bookmarks are tied to numbers in the toolbar. So I have all my favorite java-scripts in there like the one for Pukka and shorty - and others like them. But I've also put a number beside them so I can easily get it right the first time.

<strong><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/prh/315216781/" rel="nofollow">See a picture here</a></strong>

I keep an RSS folder just for stuff I need to check often like Macappaday! :)
An Account folder for all my bills, cpanel, google, etc.
And a freq.sites which would be like bulletin boards, and sites i want to go back and check pretty often.

I haven't figured out how to use delicious well with quicksilver yet - any tips?

I've switched to using del.icio.us for everything because of the new Firefox extension. The new extension completely replaces the bookmark manager in Firefox. It adds a button to the toolbar which will open a pop-up window to tag and save the current pag to your del.icio.us bookmarks.

The part I really like is that it turbocharges the bookmarks toolbar. You can view bookmarks on the toolbar by tag or by site. I have mine set to show "most visited" bookmarks on the bar which corresponds to sitesa I visit and bookmarklets I use every day. When I need to, I can switch to show bookmarks with the "firefox:toolbar" tag which has some critical sites and bookmarklets, but so far they haven't dropped off the "most visited" list yet.

Searching for bookmarks is also replaced in Firefox so you are actually searching your del.icio.us account for tags, descriptions, titles, etc. to find bookmarks.

I get everything done on my main computer very easily using the del.icio.us extension and I can still get to all my bookmarks when I'm using a computer in a lab or another room in the school where I work.

I use Webnote Happy. It's a wonderful bookmark manager which is browser agnostic and allows you to order in both folders and smartfolders. It also allows tagging, and browsing by your tags, as well as Delicious integration.
I use it in conjunction with Quicksilver. I mark the bookmarks I want to be able to access as save to Del.ic.ious, and then use the Quicksilver Del.ic.ious plugin so I can access them all.
It works wonderfully, and keeps all my bookmarks organized and easily accessible.
Adding bookmarks is as easy as CMD-Shift-D, or using a bookmarklet I pulled in at the top of OmniWeb, Safari and Camino.

I pretty much live by Quicksilver now - being able to call up not only URLs locally bookmarked but also those on my del.icio.us account is great

I use Safari only- first is a menu I call go, in there is gm (gmail), dl (delicious), p2dl (post to del), nb (newzbin), wp (wikip), mefi, mwl (metawishlist), p2mwl, and some other frequent personal sites. Next on the bar is gm (gmail), gThis, gc (gCal), rtm (Remember the Milk), 2read - which you should check out. Sign up for an account and register an email account, then put the bookmarklet on your bar, and when you are viewing a page, click 2read, and it grabs a copy of the page and emails it to you. I have a 2read folder in gmail and a filter that pushes those emails into the folder- so every few days in spare time I visit that folder to read the pages - maybe a good sub for your READ folder-, then some work bookmarks after that basically.

Interesting post. I never thought about having a folder of bookmarks on the bar that 'I didn't have time to read'. I will implement this immediately :-)

I use ikeepbookmarks.com to keep my stuff synced between home and work, and though I have to use FireFox at work (PC), I use Safari at home, so syncing bookmarks properly needs a little thought as the structure is quite different.

In fact this leads me to be tempted to switch to FF at home, but I love being able to CMD-1 to instantly load the first bookmark on my toolbar, CMD-2 for the second, etc...
