I reviewed your quick time video for running applescripts. There is only one problem. On the Quicksilver website it says to place the applescript within the folder:

placing the applescript in the directory “~/Library/Application Support/Quicksilver/Actions/”

the only problem is that there is only an “actions.plist” and it is not a folder. I cannot figure out how to create an Action using applescript or where to put it once it is created.

Did you somehow change the font size for your quicksilver? My “other matches” drop down seems to be much larger than yours, I really like the look of yours and would love if you could elaborate on your setup.

i use the bezel interface and have adjusted the colors slightly to my liking.

What theme do you use to make quicksilver look that way? Looks smaller and more simple then the one I use (original setup I think).

Lordmike - the rename script was something I whipped-up in Automator for renaming files. I wrote about that here. It should work for changing file extensions too.

I see you use some rename script, could it be the one I asked about some time ago regarding changing file extensions or maybe just a nifty file renaming script?
Anything is useful if I only need to bring up quicksilver type mvfile tab down and write cbr to rar or some such. I’m not sure if that’s possible.

bernd (and Xander) nailed it. Menu Meters does my cpu load and memory usage.
And Paul Stamatiou’s blog explains how I hacked my clock.

Xander:
Fixed camera, 30fps, 75% scaling
I set my display to 1024×680 and do a full screen.
I also include the mic track for audio.
It takes a bit of time to encode the whole thing, but not too bad, and the results are clearly worth it.

2. try.. http://paulstamatiou.com/2006/06/11/how-to-display-date-in-os-x-menu-bar/ .. and for changing the order just hold down the command (apple) key and drag the entries to a new position.

I have some questions regarding the applications he is running.

1. What is the bandwidth and cpu load tool he is using in the menu bar?

2. How did he manage to change the order of the icons in the
menu bar and most importantly how did he added the day of the
month in the date?

nice done. i’ve a question to your usage of the terminal, which app do you use (i saw a little icon in the menu bar) or how do you invoke the terminal???
