Beatles & Apple Make Nice, So Where’s The Music?

Ok, so Apple Corps (the Beatles’ Music company) and Apple Inc have worked things out and no lawsuits remain on that subject. After Steve demo’d the iPhone with some Beatles music in last month’s Keynote, I would have expected the Beatles collection to be popping up in iTunes any day. Maybe with the announcement today, that day will be tomorrow - Tuesday being the release day for Apple and most Music and Video products. Cross your fingers!

Count on the Beatles catalog dropping in as the renovated new editions gets launched. There is no way that the current CD–offerings will be in the iTunes Store, except the new Love album and Let it Be naked version…

Beatles on iTunes for Valentine’s day is my prediction…

My question is, are they gonna continue to issue more volumes in the “Capitol Albums” series, or issue the individual albums like they did in the 80s? I prefer individual discs, but I’ve already got he first two volumes, so I might as well collect the rest (with their really crappy packaging).

Notice I mentioned nothing about the iTunes Store. I’m sorry Apple, but I don’t pay for 128Kbps files.

re iTunes; Gallery i am interested to hear more re the cons of 128kbps files on itunes. PS Ry Cooder loves what iTunes does for his sound:
“Then Mr. Cooder noticed something else: When he burned a copy of the album using Apple’s iTunes software, it sounded fine. He didn’t know why until one of his younger engineers told him that the default settings on iTunes apply a “sound enhancer.” (It’s in the preferences menu, under “playback.”) Usually, that feature sweetens the sound of digital music files, but Mr. Cooder so liked its effect on his studio recordings that he used it to master — that is, make the final sound mixes — his album. “We didn’t do anything else to it,” he said.”
