I have experienced a Problem with the jbl on stage micro and plugging it to a home stereo. If the Plug is connected, the internal speaker do not mute! I have to volume up to the max, and then mute em with the remote.

JBL do have an upper hand in speakers design. I give 4.5 / 5 stars for their design. I have not tested the latest speakers but what I have now is the JBL Creature II speakers.

Cho, I hope you're right. That would make the extra stuff cheaper when going with a speaker system that doesn't have a dock.

However, Apple's website as well as Amazon say that the only things in the box for the Universal Dock are the Dock, adapters to make it fit with any iPod and a user guide. No cable or power charger mentioned at all.

You need to do some research about Apple's Universal Dock first. It comes with a USB adapter, contrary to what is said in the article.

I spent quite a bit of time researching speakers, before settling on Audioengine 5's. I could not ignore the praises they were receiving from highly regarded audio and tech reviewers, especially the msnbc guy Krakow. I value his opinion highly as he has never steered me wrong.
$350 bucks and they sound fantastic.
