Books, or unabridged audio books for that matter, are better than films or TV series in some ways. Though the wonderful cinematics of Star Wars is a really big treat, sometimes, there's just that satisfaction coming from conventional reading.

Having read The Thrawn Trilogy, I wouldn't want to suffer through an abridged audiobook. You wouldn't pay full price for a paperback, and then only read every second page, so why would anyone in their right mind accept the audio equivalent?

I love audio books, but I will not waste my time with abridged audio books. What is the point, why do they even make them? I refuse to buy them. I'm a member of Audible.com, make regular purchases from Books-on-Tape and unfortunately must frequent the sites that offer the "old" bootlegs of unabridged books that are no longer available. I've been looking for Star Wars books for awhile but almost all are abridged and I just won't waste my time.

PLEASE, PLEASE someone produce unabridged copies of these titles, I would buy them all!

I will never buy an abridged audiobook of any kind. What a waste of 70 titles. Does anyone go to the movie theatre to see a 20 minute mega blockbuster movie? No, we go to see 2 or 3 HOURS so you can have things like plots and character development.

I read the book for Episode 3. It filled in a lot of things for me when I saw the movie. The way the book was written would have made for a better movie.

I absolutely love SW audiobooks, having purchased a bunch off eBay and also borrowing some from my local libraries. Unfortunately, I've had to pirate a few that I just can't find locally or on eBay. This is a very welcome addition to the iTunes Store.

I hope sales on these urge the publishers to release more unabridged versions, and ensure more future books.
