A Slight Role Reversal?

Written on February 25, 2007 by Yasser Dahab and 2 people have commented

For those of you who weren’t in attendance at RubyConf (don’t worry, I wasn’t either), you missed out on a fun little role reversal.

The Ruby on Rails world is Apple-dominated. Seriously Apple-dominated. I’d wager to guess that 90% of the Rails coders out there are using TextMate on a MBP. Noting this, one intrepid fellow was handing out an official “Certificate of Nonconformity” to every soul at RubyConf brave enough to show up with a PC.

So, I guess it’s true: even PC users can “Think Different.” At least when it comes time to take the backseat and poke fun at yourself.

Rails using TextMate on a MacBook Pro. Guilty :-)

Oh, most definitely guilty. I grabbed this picture at RailsConf 2006:

Not a PC to be seen! It was great.
