Symantec looking for Entourage dev shops
A Product Manager at Symantec Corporation posted a query Wednesday on the Entourage mailing list.
I was curious if anyone knew the names of a few dev shops that focus on creating custom extensions for Entourage.
Although the mailing list is unofficial, and not run by Microsoft, it is frequented by MVPs and has seen activity by members of the Office for Mac development team.
Symantec is home to the Norton software line, which currently includes Norton AntiVirus 10.0, Norton Personal Firewall 3.0, Norton Confidential and the Norton Internet Security bundle for the Mac.
The e-mail is brief and there’s no certainly no promise of future products or integration, but Symantec clearly has some interest.
If you can provide names, Steve Lowing asks that you e-mail him. His address is not listed directly on the message, in order to prevent it from being harvested by spammers. Simply click the ‘Reply via e-mail’ button after following the link below.

#1 Michael says:Struggling? Trying to make a better Name ? Bloatware ? Never in a million years

#2 Honza says:So they’re looking to integrate their crap into a reasonably well working piece of software, to try and bring it down to the level of other MS software…?

#3 Cecil says:Actually, on that other platform, the new Norton 360 product has gotten some good reviews, and seems to have helped deal with the “bloatware” issues.
Maybe they can make a good attempt over here, too.
