8 Hours of Talk Time for iPhone
Apple has already upgraded its yet-unreleased iPhone. They announced this morning a battery capable of 8 hours of talk time, and over 10 days of standby time. Additionally, the previously plastic touch-screen is now optical-quality glass for better clarity and durability.
Straight from the mouth of Jobs:
With 8 hours of talk time, and 24 hours of audio playback, iPhone’s battery life is longer than any other ‘Smartphone’ and even longer than most MP3 players,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “We’ve also upgraded iPhone’s entire top surface from plastic to optical-quality glass for superior scratch resistance and clarity. There has never been a phone like iPhone, and we can’t wait to get this truly magical product into the hands of customers starting just 11 days from today.
Seems investors are listening, as Apple Stock opened $3 higher than it closed on Friday.

Rrrrright. And my Macbook has a battery life of 5.5 hours. Rrrriight.
I like Apple, but I hate their lies.

Well I sorta figure this new bumbped-up stat will place it closer to where the previous stat was pegged…

Well doesn’t everyone use a set of measurements that don’t generally hold up in real life?
I mean come on, slash the numbers in half: if the iPhone ‘only’ lasted 5 days on standby ‘only’ had 4 hours of talktime, and played MP3’s for ‘only’ 12 hours, it would still beat both my current phone, and current MP3 player. I’d be happy.

Lists, or lasts?

Lists or lasts? The same can be said for the iPhone.

HAHAHA
I’m betting, talk time on lowest volume, absolutely nothing else turned on.
10days standbye time? Someone said it best when they said that even their macbook doesnt even last 10 days on standby.
I’m betting they mean with everything turned off, even the cell phone signal!
