I'm confused Nick - is there still a problem with Low-Power warnings when the B-Flex is used when you're running on battery power - or was that just a fluke? I'm tracking some of the better USB speakers out there at www.usb-computer-speakers.com so I'm glad I ran across your review.

P.S. I agree with MJC - I use the Tritton SoundBite myself and for a 2.1 speaker it's 'subwoofer' has a pretty nice room-filling kick to it!

I have the Tritton Sound Bite Portable USB Speaker System ($25 from Tiger Direct) and I find them quite impressive for their size and price.

I was wondering what the quality of these would be. I may have to pick them up! When it's just myself, I use Ultimate Ears Super.fi 5 Pro earbuds, but if someone else is with me, the MBP speakers are pretty weak.

Well, if you have an iPod Shuffle G1-dock, the positioning dilema is gone. It should be steady enough to hold the speaker set.
