Stephanie - Good question. So far as I can tell, nothing. I just checked out Alarm Clock and it looks both minimalist and good. It’s possible I could say iAlarm had a head start in development and that’s why I originally found it, but there are a lot of smart people here, and I’m sure someone could prove me wrong!

I don’t understand why anyone would pay for iAlarm when Aurora and Alarm Clock, both mentioned above, are free. What does it do that the freeware ones don’t?

I also use alarm clock 2 (http://www.robbiehanson.com/alarmclock/) Which is free and sits in the Menubar nicely. From all apps i tried i think this is the best one.

If I’m in a hotel, I’ll use their wake-up call facility. Sure it’s annoying to be woken by a phone ringing, but you’re paying for it, and if they fail to ring you (it’s happened to me before) you have bill negotiation leverage…

Ben, there’s no ad. I blog about what I like, and if I find something I like, there’s not always a reason to run 4 or 5 programs that do the same thing. I’ve used iAlarm for 2 years or so, and it just works.
