Stephanie - Good question. So far as I can tell, nothing. I just checked out Alarm Clock and it looks both minimalist and good. It's possible I could say iAlarm had a head start in development and that's why I originally found it, but there are a lot of smart people here, and I'm sure someone could prove me wrong!

I don't understand why anyone would pay for iAlarm when Aurora and Alarm Clock, both mentioned above, are free. What does it do that the freeware ones don't?

Ben, there's no ad. I blog about what I like, and if I find something I like, there's not always a reason to run 4 or 5 programs that do the same thing. I've used iAlarm for 2 years or so, and it just works.

Was this an advertisement or a blog post? Why not make a useful post and compare the many alarm clock apps available? For instance, a quick search of macupdate will reveal the very popular and FREE Aurora: http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/20766/aurora

You might want to check out Awaken (http://www.embraceware.com/software/) too, it is a very well crafted app.
