The leaked casing photos show Macbook and MBP have different port alignments, thus even if you slide it in via left side first, the port replicator would not work. eg. the fw800 port on the left side of the new MBP would require a male connector sticking out so it can plug into the port on the laptop... something that's not possible with the MB. Plus, the dimensions would not be the same. Not saying that I wouldn't want one of these docking stations tho! I doubt the sketch would be applicable.
