This mouse sucks! I mean it sucks only on the unclickable middle button.
I just can’t understand why logitech won’t make it clickable, although that small button below scroll wheel can be configured doing the middle button job, but it is too hard to reach for big hand user. I am considering return this mouse to the shop.

If you are using a lot of middle click, don’t buy it!

I just bought this mouse a couple of weeks back, and I can never go back to a mouse without HyperScroll. I also love the little hanger for easy storage, and the insane battery life.

I don’t have a lot of experience with Logitech mice, at least recent ones, and the V550 is the first mouse I’ve used for production work that has the MicroGear scroll wheel, which I really like. You can toggle back and forth between freewheeling (which I use by preference) and detented clicking by pressing down on the scroll wheel.

I really don’t like the MicroGear scrollwheels in general, unless they’ve improved them. It might be because I just don’t have enough finger dexterity to properly control it. Even adjusting the sensitivity doesn’t work. That said, I still love Logitech mice and use their basic BT mouse with both my Macs.

I’ve been using a G7 cordless laser for three or four years now, it works awesome and I like the size and weight. I’ll have to try one of these out, maybe it’s time to upgrade.

If the MicroGear scrollwheel acts the same as on the VX nano, it should be mentioned that the wheel is not clickable like almost all other mice. So you can’t configure it to open a new tab for instance when clicked.

Not that big of a deal, I just configured the search-button below it to do the same thing.

i use Logitech MX revolution. No Batteries needed, comes with a charging station, so the mouse is lightweight and very responsive. it isn’t for laptops though.
