Nick rocks a MacBook. His mistress is Quicksilver.
Qualified to do very little - least of all blog - He can be found taking pretty pictures, building Legos with his boys, annoying his awesome wife, attending an Avalanche hockey game, and generally geeking-out.
Nick is always happy to answer questions and share his limited knowledge, so email him if you wish.
Oh, and Nick likes to talk about himself in the 3rd person. Nick likes it very much.

A school teacher in Orange County, CA has created his own iPod Mini ad in his spare time. He did it for fun, and has no connection (yet) with Apple Computer. The ad’s production qualities are superb, and display the kind of fanatacism that Apple products tend to garner.
The Ad is [...]
I’ve seen a few small mentions of it. I’ve got a call in to my local Saab dealership to get details.
I’ll be sure to update here if it’s true, and all the facts (car models supported, cost, setup, etc) - and hopefully pictures once I get mine installed!!!
UPDATE:
Dangit! Well it’s true. [...]
Reportedly, Oracle has begun running Apple’s Xserve RAID servers within their technology infrastructure. Citing a cost savings by 3 times, per megabyte. That turns into huge savings when Oracle plans to expand anywhere from 50 to 100 terabytes of Apple’s RAID storage systems.
Oracle continues to move forward with their plan to release their [...]
No more Combo Drives (CD Burner/DVD ROM) in Apple Notebooks at some point in 2005? As notebook sales heat-up, there’s a competitive edge to offering DVD Burners as standard equipment. Look for Apple to start on this course sometime, problably mid 2005.
My thought is that the standard may be the current Super Drive [...]
The Mac Mind has confirmed the coming of a Flash iPod. (Apparently from an tipster, and then confirmed by an Apple source.)
Sounds like it’s about half the size of a business card (height-wise at least), no screen (um, interesting…), and sounds as if it’ll be available in 256mb - 1gb models.
Oh, and if [...]
If you’ve got a lot (1 or more) servers that you connect to from your OS X machine, you’ve probably been frustrated that it’s not simpler to keep that server or servers saved for the next time you need them. Sure, the Finder will save the list of servers you’ve recently connected to, but [...]
iTunes Music Store has been huge for digital music for purchase and download - that’s no secret. But as more and more people flock to purchasing their music via direct download stores, they’re missing one very tangible part of the CD-buying experience: The Cover art/Booklet.
Well perhaps Apple listened to the [at the time of [...]

Specifically the portion that reads:
“The iPod Division is looking for an individual who will be responsible for improving and maintaining the IDE for embedded applications. The person in this position will be required to work closely with the Mac OS X Xcode team.”

Power.org is the new site for the development of the Power PC platform. They’re launching it in China (but it’s in english for the rest of us - woohoo!) and celebrating their millionth G5 chip being shipped.
That’s a lot of PowerMacs, iMac G5’s, and presumably, soon-to-be released, eMac G5’s. (Oh, and I’m sure [...]
While some PowerMacs are popping-up with what appears to be dual-layer DVD burners, it seems Apple doesn’t want to support them except for as single-layer burners.
At the 2005 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), car-audio manufacturer, Clarion will be debuting their initial offering of iPod integration with your car. While it sounds like you’ll need their in-dash DVD player/monitor for full integration, there’s also mention of a CD receiver model to be released at sometime in the coming year, so [...]
