It's how I reset my phone.
Take the battery out count to 45 and put it back in.
Or if the phone freezes, take it out and put it right back in.

Also... phone batteries die pretty easily. I mean, the way I use a phone - and I assume most of you techies are the same - I'm only it in some form just about all day. Whether it's sending BBM messages, or AIM messages, or texting, or talking... and what happens in a year or two when the battery stops holding a charge? I live in the hamptons - no apple store here. So I have to send it in and be without a phone until they get it done?
Finally, the lack of removeable battery means there's no possibility of putting in an extended-life battery.
