To be honest that just demonstrates to me how poorly made the Blackberry is. If it freezes up so often and you have to take the battery out thats not really a great user experience. I use my phone quite extensively, and a part from one phone about five years ago I've not had battery issues at all. The iPhone battery is, I imagine, the same as the iPod ones and I've not had issues with my iPod batteries either.
