For the record:

1. New Cinema Displays with iSight and a reduced price point.
2. New Apple TV (optical drive? Please! Keyboard support? Please!)
3. New Slim MacBook Pros (all of them)
4. Ultra-Light MacBook Pro with a monitor docking scheme.
4. iTunes 8

I won't add this to my list officially, but I think we are long past due for a Mighty Mouse redesign (to match the new keyboards). I also hope they will release a Draft N AirPort Express as it is a rather large gap in the Apple wireless solution.

1. Some sort of ultra-portable Mac (that I am planning to purchase!)
2. Redesigned MacBook Pro
3. New Airport Express
4. Some sort of other new Mac
5. Addition of a 16GB iPhone at $449, 8GB goes to $349; price drop on almost all iPods
6. Long talk on Microsoft Office 2008...
7. iTunes 7.6 with movie rentals
8. iPhone SDK with firmware 1.1.3

Think that list is long enough? Hopefully I'm spot on, but I'd also like some surprises.

4 days, 11 hours, 11 min, 51 sec...

Well before this evening I would have gone for the whole sub-notebook etc. Having seen the there's something in the air snap I'm not sure. Definately something with iTunes and movies, along with AppleTV updates. Maybe something iPhone (other than SDK) but I'm not sure about that, seems a bit quick. I'm intrigued though!

1. iTunes Update for movie rentals
2. New Cinema displays
3. 3G iPhone's announced

One more thing...

4. Ultra-portable notebook (which will having me drooling).

I'm expecting a really great keynote. Just think: they released new Mac Pro's and Xserves BEFORE the keynote. There must be something big!

My prediction, and I would bet on it were I not so broke, no sub, no ultra, no mini notebook of any sort. I expect a bump to iTunes, perhaps a dot upgrade with rentals or an overhaul to 8. I would guess new iPhone firmware with groovy features to highlight the SDK. An upgrade to or replacement for the Mini. And way too much Office for a company that makes software they want to compete with Office with. They already made my dreams come true with the Pro bump, now I just need to get out of grad school so I can afford a 32 Gb driven machine.

This year I wouldn't want to hazard a guess, there seems so many different possibilities, all of them in totally different areas. It should make for an interesting MacWorld.

@divigation I was just looking at the specs of the Mac Pro, at Apple RAM prices the full 32GB upgrade is $9,100. Now, that did make me laugh.

i'm REALLY hoping for, but probably won't see, but a 3G iPhone, so they can release it out here in Australia, we have a very wide coverage for 3G in Australia. I think that's why the major network her is holding back on releasing it.

A price drop on iPods? That'd be nice.

Seriously, though, I suspect we'll finally see the slimline MBP. Possibly as a tablet - there were some patents for that a little while ago, and it's been a while since something really big was released at Macworld. If they don't do something mindblowing again soon, people are going to lose interest.

iPhone anyone?

I've heard several people say how we haven't had an amazing Keynote at Macworld for a while. Do people not remember being blown away by the iPhone this time last year?!!?!?!

Surely the monitor will be updated to something with a built in isight camera and at a cheaper price. Im currently using a Logitech simply because isights are no longer available(Apart from the disgustingly expensive prices on eBay). And the 20" will be a lot cheaper then the current £399 price mark.

And im sure we can expect some sort of traditional surprise from Steve :-D Cant wait!
