While I know many of the regulars here read the excellent Daring Fireball (www.daringfireball.net) who covered this, I thought it would still be worth pointing out.
Apple have released a PDF document entitled "Security Configuration For Version 10.5 Leopard". This is well worth a read. While it's designed primarily as an administrators good practice guide, it holds invaluable information, tips and tricks for all users.
