Also note that Notebook requires two friends to be invited, while LaunchBar requires just one.

If it does a good job at turn raster images into vectors, the bundle is worth it to me. I have to do that constantly and have yet to find a good app to do it. I'll be purchasing today.

If 1 person buys using your invite link, you get LaunchBar. If two, you get LaunchBar and Notebook.

I'm not sure. You get invite links before you buy if you have a user account.

All you have to do is have an account and log in to get an invite code. And yes, if you buy from his invite, even if he doesn't buy anything, he'll get LaunchBar.
