So you work at a Mac Store? We have one here in a mall in Louisville. Can I walk in and purchase the classes from that store for I think it's 100.00? Can I purchase them over the web? I was also wondering how to learn certain programs ie, PS, BR, ID, Word, and others? Does the stores offer any classes in any extras?

I'd suggest taking a look at the videos on the newly revamped Apple Retail Store - very handy for finding out how all the sessions (one-to-one or otherwise) work.

For thorough and accurate training in ID, PS, and other Adobe Suite programs, your best bet is to go through Adobe. If you're not looking for Adobe Certification, you may want to see what local community colleges offer as those tools are typically professional, and thus come with a professional price tag. I'm also sure there are a number of online tutorials you could find.

If you are interested in online training, Lynda is a good option.

thanks you all! I think I need to learn as much as possible about this mac before beginning any other programs, but it's just that it seems everyday there's something totally new I learn. That will probably continue until this computer is so old it dies on me! So, being real maybe that's not the best option, learning this mac first, but learning other programs along with computer? Does anyone have the cordless keyboard and or mouse? Do you like it, and how far of distance does both can be away from monitor? Sound lazy huh, no just have 4 cats who are always trying to get my attention by jumping up and walking on keyboard, and completely messing up what I;m in at that time. They also love to rub on monitor leaving their fur behind, little do they know I can always tell which cat has been "on computer",by the color fur on monitor, yuk!!! OUTSIDE KITTY'S FOR A WHILE WITH WARM WEATHER!!
I still have not figured out how to use the numbered keys on right side of key board. Does anyone know. Was so used to doing so with my PC, but now if I accidentally press a number sometimes it locks up computer? any ideas? Thank you all! Have a good one! kat |
