I was absorbed for HOURS using my iSight on my MacBook to scan barcodes. This software is really cool. I was impressed that it picked up most of what I threw at it, short of the can of Pringles that was sitting next to my laptop.
I think this sort of software could be good for inventory management purposes in a small business. It's an easy way to import data into an inventory, and would most likely be useful for second hand bookshops and such. Anywho, going to sit and import all my games and DVDs now...^_^ |

A very cool piece of software. I owned DL1 and never really used it, but I have upgraded now (no issues here at all by the way) and intend to make the effort this weekend. I'l report back when my library gets insane.

I don't have an iSight, so I've been trying like mad to get my Logitech cam to work with DL1 and 2. It works with iChat and every other app, but the autofocus doesn't work well enough. So, I broke down and bought the bluetooth scanner. It's so much better than I expected. Since it has its own memory, I can go to the tv room and scan all my DVDs. When I go back upstairs to the office, it downloads everything into DL2. Way cool.

I was wondering if anyone had bought the bluetooth scanner. It's a really cool idea, although $250 is a little more than I'm willing to pay for a one or two time use item.
I have a massive scanning job ahead of me though, as I have to catalogue all of my dad's DVDs. And believe me, this is going to be a mission. My estimation is probably over 1500 titles, although I could be a tad off. Oh well, I'm glad the scanning seems to be faster in DL2! Will make it less of a chore ![]()

Hi! If Delicious Library 2 displays one or more permission errors when launched, just create the following folder and it will work fine: ~/Library/Scripts/Applications/Delicious Library 2/ (where ~ stands for your home folder) Ciao, mibu |
