Can anyone give me an idea how to start the blogging on this engine? I have Go Daddy as my host and I downloaded the blog engine there. However, when the home page comes up I truly don't know how to begin using the program. I have read the information on Blog Engine Wiki but I have gotten very far. The SQL server at Go Daddy established the write app but it would not let log on as Admin even though I was in the administrators manage account file. Anyway, I probably missed a step and cannot figure out where. Any suggestions? Anything easier to use?

I'd like to help but I'm afraid I've never even heard of the BlogEngine framework, so I wouldn't be much use.
I'd suggest you take a look at something like Wordpress, my blog is based on it, and it's extremely easy to get setup. Hopefully someone with BlogEngine experience will be here to help. |

Phil, the BlogEngine.net program is run (and I hope I am saying this correctly) on an ASP.net framework. I believe it is 2.0. I hope this helps. I feel lost and reading (for me) is paramount to helping me understand what I do. I did find some books at the bookstore on the ASP but did not know which to purchase. As I am sure you know, books are quite expensive.

I'd suggest taking Phil's advice and use a more robust and well supported blogging platform like Wordpress.

Just wanted to say thanks for the suggestions. I signed up with Wordpress. I have two blogs with them. One is Glorious Impact and is a blog talking about the Word of God. The other blog is The Reader’s Experience and is titled "The Reader's Experience" and is a blog discussing books I've read. I'd like to start a book reading club. Feel free to comment.
