I upgraded my copy of MS Office 2004 the other day when the Software went into auto upgrade mode, Now Microsoft tells us the upgrade was in error and was intended as a future binary upgrade release and to uninstall the upgrade...

Well, I've searched around and there's no instructions on how to "Uninstall"
an upgrade. As far as I can tell, The Package works as normal, I've used it several times since upgrading to 11.3.1,

Has anyone else upgraded their copy of MS Office 2004 to 11.3.1????

There's an article on TUAW all about it....

I've read about it, but I didn't upgrade. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't do anything harmful. At least, I should hope not.

I don't either, in fact, I believe it was the first thing I deleted. I've gotten along fine without it.

I don't have office on my mac. I might by after the 2007 version, but I just have text editors open too often to have the run in PPC. I can't have one of my most used apps run in rosetta.

There are a few updates out now. TUAW reports 11.3.2 for Office 2004 and 2006-12-19 for Office V.x. Enjoy patching Office... again!
