When i download an album onto my ipod everythings great unless an artist is featuing another artist....ie Nelly Futardo and her Loose album gets broken into 6 different Loose albums as she features other artists...so when i upload onto my ipod i have 6 Loose albums, 1 with only Nelly Futardo and 5 other featuring the joinng artists??? I have tried to get it so it is all one complete album as it should be but nothing works. Any ideas to what i should be doing?

I tend to change the titles around. I'll add "(feat. xyz)" to the song title. Does anyone know if changing the album artist will make it into one album?

The solution for your problem is pretty easy, actually. Just select all of the songs that are in the album, right click, select Get Info, click Yes (you want to edit multiple items), and then find where it says "Compilation". Click the check box beside it and change "No" to "Yes". This should fix your issue!
If you found all of that too confusing, go to this support article from Apple and find the Albums with various artists heading. Hope this helps!

I use the "(feat. xyz)" method that bbb suggests. To use the Nelly Furtado example, regardless of the guest artists, it's still her album/song, so I'd use her name in the artist field.
Using "Artist" and "Album Artist" I believe is intended to solve the problem, but I've never used it because it's an iTunes/iPod specific extension, that isn't generally supported. If you were to move to another player in the future, you'd probably find the albums would "break". The compilations method should work, but it's really intended for collections with totally different artists on one CD, the album artist in that case is really "Various Artists". |

Yep, I'd go with either BBB appending the featured artist to the song title, or filling in the Album Artist and using that method. I'd avoid using the compilation method as, should you ever need to get to the actual MP3 files, it moves them into unpredictable places.
