Have been trying it out for a little bit. Not sure I am very impressed. It seems to bring up a lot of stuff not related to my very specific searches. To be fair, I need to play with it a lot more to make sure I am not just too "trained" by Google as to how to expect results to come up.
It also doesn't seem to be very "smart". For example; type in "Nikon D300" and you will get hit results. Type in "nikon d300" and you will get "We didn’t find any results for “nikon d300”" The same search on Google results in "Results 1 - 10 of about 9,330,000 for nikon d300. (0.13 seconds) Certainly needs work.

It's very slow for me right now. My site, which also appear first or second in every other search engine for my name, is nowhere to be found. Another lame Web 2.0 search engine.

Yeah, I got too excited. Now that I've played with it, it's not coming up with results that match any of my search terms. I tried to search "Advertising and Design Texas" and it told me it couldn't do it - the search term was too long.

I really dislike the interface. Whether it's just the "google training" or not, it just seems cramped by too much information and, at the same time, not displaying enough search results. Isn't the point of a search engine to display search results?

I am finding the results are varying, but mostly not what I actually want, just related stuff. This occurs no matter how specific I am. I also dislike the interface as it takes so long to read compared to a list. Overall no one seems all that impressed, except Gruber oddly.

@houltmac, I was surprised by Gruber's reaction to it as well.
I've tried it again today. Looking for my blog I tried a few other searches that I know make it hit the top spot or at least the first page on Google. None of them showed up. In one search, "electricweekend", it showed my housemates sub-domain which is a flash portfolio site but not my regularly updated blog. My technical verdict is: Crap (with a capital C)! I should mention, top marks for hype building though. I've seen a lot of chat about it, unfortunately it's mostly negative after people try it. Shame they can't backup what they claim. It found lots of results for gadgetcoma, but I couldn't figure out how it ranks them. Also, it showed 10+ pages of results, but when I went to page 3, it said no results could be found. I think they jumped the gun on releasing it.
