Anyone want to - or able to - share tips for getting up to speed in Quartz Composer? Some really cool things are possible with this app, and it seems to put it in the hands of the less programmatically inclined. But something to get people up and running would be great.
soooo, anyone willing to share?

Apple has a couple of tutorials up. I have a pretty short attention span so I haven't delved into learning much of it yet.
Tutorial 1 Tutorial 2 Most of what I've been doing with it is modifying existing compositions to make them do something different. |

It would be nice if ScreenCastsOnline would do something on it. I kind of like his tutorials but he's moved away from the typical podcast model and has been pushing the "extra" membership. I hate subscriptions and advertisers in podcasts, it takes away from what podcasts were created for in the first place. [/rant]

Absolutely. I think he should put in a quick message to subscribe to extra, but not have all the different banners etc. They get annoying. The point should be to learn about the mac, and be able to pay a little to learn even more. There shouldn't be a giant, long advertisement somewhere! [/rant]
