The Development threads are notably slower than the other threads.
Does that mean there are so few Apple developers out there?

I'm studying to learn more how to build an Mac App, but what about you?

I mostly do web development in which Ruby on Rails is my language of choice or should I say framework of choice. I am however interested in picking up on software development. For now I've only worked with Java and .NET but I'm getting into Objective-C when I find the time for it.

I really want to learn how to code apps. I think that many developers don't have enough time between devloping their apps and their regular lives.

Being a part of this community really made me think of what career path I'd like to follow. Currently, I'm in the middle of getting a business degree (and then masters), and I really had no idea what I'd like to do after school.

Then I thought of my love for OS X, and how much I'd like to give back to the community. This place is a great resource for finding out more information about programming languages and stuff I need to study.

Hopefully some devs will join up and become part of the community - tell us what living the dream is actually like!

I am working on a Cocoa application for personal use to interface with a Windows system that has already been built.

I love and hate Objective-C... Not coming from a C or C++ background it is kind of a challenge and completely different than the C# I am used to doing at work.

I'm in the process of learning some Java stuff to help me with my biotech aspirations, but I would hardly call myself a developer.

In other words, I couldn't code my way out of a paper bag.

I'm trying to learn basic html/php/css for web design, but I'm not a developer in any shape or form. Just a Graphic designer hoping to add a string to his bow!

I used to do a (very little) bit of dev stuff, but not for Macs, for Windows. I gave that up, though.
