I've been saving my pennies for a new Mac, so I don't really need anything. I'm pretty happy with things as they are. My oldest son really wants the new World of Warcraft expansion. My daughters want new gameboy games, and my youngest boy probably doesn't care, as long as it blows up or shoots things (he's 3). I have no idea what my wife wants, but then it's been like this for 13 years now so it should be no surprise.

I wish I could postpone my Christmas gift for the iPhone... or a wide-screen iPod Video.

I'm going to gift myself a new MacBook Pro. Max out the ram and give my old 1.25ghz Powerbook to my sister since I'm so generous.

And, no, she doesn't get any other X-mas presents...

I want the following:

1. World Peace
2. Life to slow down so that I can take the time to learn about my MAC.
3. A "Man Cave" (that is my wife's term for my office) equiped with an Eames Lounge Chair (too expensive, must dream - Best Chair Ever!), a swanky desk (which has been impossible to find - and I have been looking), a wall mounted LCD TV, and a nice stereo (Apple HiFi connected with AirPort Express?).
4. Socks.

Of these, I fully expect to receive a lot of number 4.

I don't recommend Shure's E2c noise canceling headphones, mine are in the shop for warranty repair now after having them for less than a year. The insulation on the wires that go around the ears started to crack and it finally got too bad for me so had to send them in. It's going to make my 13 hour airplane ride home really suck. To think that those headphones were so good too, but now I have no love for Shure.

Thats what happens when products break on you. My friend's Sony Vaio (bought at the same time I got my MacBook) broke several months ago, and even though it's under warranty, Best Buy won't fix it. In fact, they can't fix it - they can't find the error. Sending it to Sony is something he doesn't want to do, considering it will take something like 2 months for him to get it back, or even longer, depending on how fast they can get to it.

This has made him really despise Sony, and I'm trying to persuade him to buy a MBP.

This was a little off topic, so I'm going to swing her around and say that I want a set of speakers for my MacBook for Christmas.
