I'd never try this myself, but it looks pretty cool: MOUNTAIN WINGSUIT

Wow, that looks amazing. While I admit I'm scared of heights, I have a strong desire to try this out! This and skydiving. Man, the free fall must feel exhilarating!

I'd seen this video before. Looks incredible. It's amazing how close they get to the mountain. Some of them have their fingers inches away. I'm betting a minor tap either A) Breaks off your fingers if not your entire hand or arm and B) May send you plummeting to the ground. Like skydiving, one of those things I'd love to try but could never bring myself to do.

Yeah, I've seen stuff like this on TV shows like Top Gear, and whilst I'm sure it's an awesome thing to try, I'm too scared of being killed to death! Skydiving I may well try one day though...if my fiancée lets me...>_>

I've never been terribly interested in skydiving, hangliding or similar stunts, but might have been convinced a few years ago. Unfortunately, I had a close friend who died while skydiving, so I have absolutely no interest now.

That's cool, but crazy! I've skydived, which is very fun, but I wouldn't do that. Skydiving is pretty safe as long as you aren't doing stunts and low altitude openings. And the time under the chute is amazingly peaceful, with the whole world suspended beneath your feet. There are about 30 skydiving deaths per year, in about 2.25 million jumps. That gave a rate of one death in 70,130 jumps for the year 2000. In the same year about 43,000 people died in motor vehicles (to be fair - skydiving is 10 times more dangerous based on number of accidents per participants - since we all drive). Bee stings kill about 45 -50 per year and lighting about 45 - 90 depending on year. And of course, that bathtub - beware - 300 to 400 per year. 99.9985740767 % chance of surviving a skydiving jump - fairly good

These are US stats.

That looks like amazing fun.... says the person with absolutely no fears of heights or jumping off them at all. I could see where this would be terrifying for a lot of people, though.

Well, it seems to work OK for squirrels, so why not humans!
