I can completely relate to that feeling he was having about OS X. There's just so much seamless integration. Great post Lonnie!

It's articles like that that are an immense help when I, now the only Mac user in a Windows-centric shop, have to have that discussion again. The hard-core devs don't switch from Windows because of flashy commercials or a nice box, but for reasons like those.
Thanks for the link, lonnie!

I had a friend make the switch last year, and she had a difficulty changing her thinking about how things should be done. Once she learned the Mac way, and realized it was not only easier, but better, she is very happy.

I had been a longtime PC user - since 1985. I beta tested Windows from 3.1 through Vista. I became a Windows software developer and then became manager of PC support at my company. I then moved to managing a team of web developers building apps on the Microsoft platform. When my three year old PC died a slow death (taking me through Windows reinstallation hell far too many times), I said 'screw it' and bought a Mac Pro. I constantly get that 'love my mac' feeling. You'll see it show up in my tweets at least a couple of times a month. Since then, I've convinced at least 4 family members and a half dozen friends to switch. I've also convinced a couple of my developers and my boss to get Macs at home. The next step is to get them to switch at work!
