I've been looking for somewhere (good) to catch back up on The Office season 4 since I can't buy it from iTunes anymore. I found Hulu.com today and it seems very promising. Anyone here use it? Does anyone know what the benefit of signing up are? It's free to sign-up but I can already watch the videos without signing-up.
Now, if I could only get them on my iPod. ![]()

I've used it a couple of times. I saw that you can subscribe to shows, but as far as I can tell it doesn't actually do anything. I want to be notified when new episodes are posted. I do most of my viewing at Fox on Demand.

I've used hulu a little. I also use Fox on Demand and NBC's similar service. I like hulu because there seems to be fewer ads. Even with Fox and NBC, you only see 3-4 minutes of ads per episode compared with more like 7-8 on regular TV. I guess I'm just less tolerant to ads when in front of my computer.

Boo. Being in Canada, much of the content is unavailable. It's all about SideReel for me

We all get these shows on actual TV, why can't we all watch them online? It's the same with any video from MTV (don't worry - only videos about games from Stephen Totilo) and a lot of music on iTunes. Copyright law and IPR legislation is difficult stuff.

Hotspot Shield gets round the geographical location checking that Hulu uses (proxy server's in the US). I just tried watching a random Simpsons episode and it seems to work. So whoopee...until Hulu close that loophole.
Couldn't get it to work on ABC.com, but I think that may be my setup, I think I need to try a different machine. |

I use it, but I can't see any of the benefits of registering. (I will note that I have, but I was in the beta, so I had to.) I do love it though. I just wish they'd get House updated, or add anything from CBS. I need The Big Bang Theory; that show rocks my socks.
