Glad you are enjoying your Mac so much. As far as FTP apps go, Transmit is usually the users choice, but Flow was recently released and seems to be getting some good reviews.

As far as Elements vs Aperture, I wouldn't really say they are comparable apps. Aperture is a Pro level app for digital photographers, whereas Elements isn't a pro app and is, I would say, a more watered down consumer level Photoshop.

Hope that's some help.

Both Flow and YummyFTP have tested much faster (personally) than Transmit.

I'm testing the free version of transmit, and I'll try both of those too! Thank you!

Just to update:

Still can't get the Logitech Keyboard and mouse to work. I like the mighty mouse, but it's a little buggy from time to time. It seems to pick up dust and lint which is the main cause of the bugginess. (No, my house is NOT dirty, thank you very much!)
Hey Chip! Glad everything is going so well!

So, an application to build a website? I have several suggestions. For a "What You See Is What You Get" (WYSIWYG) solution, take a look at either iWeb (which comes with iLife and your Mac), RapidWeaver (which has more features), or Sandvox (which also has more features). Both require purchasing a license, with RapidWeaver being $52 and Sandvox being either $49 or $79, depending on if you want raw HTML editing capability.

As for a full featured web development application, I would try Panic's fabulous Coda. It includes the following features: text editor + transmit + css editor + terminal + books + more, according to the website. I've heard lots of great things and if you know your way around HTML/CSS/etc, this is the perfect tool for you.

Finally, your issues with the Mighty Mouse are pretty standard fare. To clean it, follow these directions from Apple. For a more thorough cleaning, you'll have to take it apart, as per this tutorial.

Hope this helps!

I think 2 or 3 weeks ago. I was feeling tired of the old one, having it for more than a year

I don't know how you're getting on with your FTP these days, but I agree with the person who recommended Yummy FTP. It works nicely, is relatively easy to get running, and is quick. The only thing I can't find (maybe someone can fill me in...?) is a way to store my server details to use next time! Other than that it's really good.

Also, a little tip that I found a while back that I like to share: you can drag application icons onto the grey empty space at the top of a finder window and there'll be a constant link placed there for you, and you can drag them round, rearrange etc. I use it for my FTP software, Calculator, and System Preferences. I also managed to get a 'Move To Trash' icon there, but I don't remember how...

Under the Yummy FTP menu - go to bookmarks - "show bookmarks" and there is also an "add bookmarks"

You can then set it to auto show the bookmarks window on launch in the preferences.

If you're not looking for a fully featured web development application I can vouch for iWeb. I use it for my site linked to my TAB profile. It is pretty versatile, and can do more than I use it for. The nice thing about it is how seamlessly it works with other Apple apps such as iTunes and iPhoto. Makes it very easy to import and browse various media and photo files. And there is a pretty good selection of styles and templates to work with for customizing your site.

Just wanted to further support Yummy FTP - Last week I had a crazy issue show up when using Yummy FTP and emailed support to see if they had any ideas, because I did not. I had a response in the same day, with help. And it wasn't even a Yummy FTP problem - it was server related. How's that for service.
