Ah thats a shame. After listening to the slip they reminded me of Radiohead a bit mainly because their sound is very unique and different to the mainstream artists and bands. That is what grabbed me the most

Hmm, interesting, maybe I should give it more of a listen. I bought (for a nominal fee) In Rainbows when they released that and really like it as an album. Perhaps time for a second chance.

If you do give it a chance I would go for the tracks between 1,000,000 (track 2) and Head down (track 6) I mainly listen to those 5 tracks. Oh and also give Lights in the Sky a try if you like Centrefolds by Placebo

While looking for the latest single by John Mayer on YouTube, I came across a really cool band called Boyce Avenue. Not only do they write their own music (which is really good - I'm actually listening to the album as I type this), they have done a ton of covers of popular songs. Check out their YouTube channel to listen to them!

I am beyond jealous of your In Rainbows. Im gonna take a huge leap and say that its a special edition :-P lol. Lucky sod.

Oh and my Year Zero just came through the post and i put the cd into my mac(cd was black with just year zero written on it) ripped it in iTunes and ejected the cd and then the cd was white with 1 and 0's all over it! I was like... Okaaay, i could've sworn it was black when it put it in my drive. Haha. Im on track 3 atm and so far i am liking it so thanks for the recommendation!

OH MAN I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT THE CHANGING OF COLOURS THING!!!

yeh you know, Trent forked out the money for the CD to do that, as the Record company wouldn't pay for that extra thing in production. Trent is soooo awesome and he loves his fans so much.

So glad your liking Year Zero so far, NIN have soooooo many records, there's so much to go through and discover. Enjoy your journey.

and yes, that is the special edition, jjumped on the pre-orders when it was put up. It's tre cool.

Listening to Interpol's last album at the moment before i go to bed. at first listen, and a few more after that, i thought the record was SOOOOOOO boring. but it's grown on me ^_^

OK, another prized possession to show off, i got this off ebay back in.... 2006/7, i got it for about $30... what i didn't know i bought (i only found out last month) is that it is a 1st pressing of The Smashing Pumpkins Siamese Dream album!! It's actually worth around $150!!! lol, i got it for a steal, here it is:

oh mate that is so sick! I don't actually have any Vinyl's which is a shame. I am always tempted to go and buy a record player and some vinyls but i have never gone for gold to make the jump. Do you have one?

I have read that listening to vinyl is like no other and the sound quality is quite raw if that makes any sense... But its like £80 to get the player and then the LP's are of course more expensive then CD's but it's somehwat of a fashion nowadays listening to vinyls

I dont have many... but i WON'T be playing the pumpkins one! want to keep it the best condition. I've got a Sigur Ros one , (). I can't wait to listen to that on Vinyl.
