I was at my local best buy yesterday, and they had Xbox360's (which were really cheap - on sale) and PS3's, but a big sign that said "Sorry, Nintendo Wii is sold out". I felt fortunate that I got mine!

I just tried the Wii....and I love it! I was never a hard core gamer. Never owned a big system. Never spent that much time fantasizing about games...ok, you get the point.
I bowled and won on the Wii. I played tennis and lost...and got sweaty in the process. I must have one. |

Wii is a great system, I have a PS3 currently, but do want to get the Wii as well. I haven't been a gamer for a long time, but I got the PS3 because of the Blu-Ray tech and it being soo cheap in comparison to getting a Blu-Ray DVD Player. The graphics on a HDTV look Stunning. I think the game play is good, but it'll only get better in time, I Guarantee it. So right now, I love both PS3 and Wii, but since I have the PS3, I voted for it

One of my friends got a PS3 at launch, and that weekend a couple of my friends and I went over to play it. It definitely looked really good on an HDTV running at 1080P, and Resistance wasn't too bad. In fact, we beat it that day - spent the entire day playing. It took around 6 hours on medium.
I wouldn't buy it myself though - not now at least. Too expensive for my blood, for a console that is.
