Am I the only one that thinks Twitter is going to last another 15 minutes before fading away with all the other Web 2.0 "hits"? Seriously though, how long can people keep up with the updates every 20 minutes - both reading and writing? I'm tired just hearing about twitter

You're not. I have to agree with you.

It didn't even have that much time with me.

In my mind, it's sort of like a mini-facebook (in terms of trends). People get really into these things for a couple weeks, realize how much time they waste, and then get back to being semi-productive. Thats at least how I see it.

See, now this is the ****ing problem with hanging out around this seedy neighborhood. I am so entirely against this twitter crap. But now I have an account and will probably start using the damn thing and wasting time and annoying people. It's hard out there for a geek.

Since everything else is, its divigation on Twitter too.

So I added the TAB users that I found to my friends and now I am going to start nudging all of you who tried twitter and stopped using it and don't post anymore. So be prepared.

I have an account, but I prefer Tumblr. That said, I don't really use either so I don't know why I bothered posting that

You know, this Twitter thing is starting to become an addiction. I've actually updated numerous times in the past few days. I wonder when it's going to start to become more of a chore than a labour of love.

Seriously, this is the problem with TAB, now not only am I signed up, but actually using Twitter, and it worked. Posted that I was hanging out in TAB irc last night and people showed up and we did some chatting. Were it not for TAB, Twitter would be useless as none of my friends spend a ton of time on computers so I would just be Twittering to hear myself tweet. But with TAB there is actual interaction and now I am using the service that I have been bashing for its uselessness... Not that I am saying that I have changed my opinion on Twitter yet, but as Nietzsche put it, "We should not allow ourselves to be burned for our opinions; we are not sure enough of them for that. But perhaps for this - that we may change them."

That's exactly why I'm not going to sign up...for now at least (it's almost inevitable at this point), because I know it is addicting and I know I won't be able to stay away.

I'm guessing that the novelty will wear off in a couple months when people realize that they can't update every 20 minutes forever. Or, something new will come along and blow twitter out of the water with its web 2.0 goodness.
