Haha, interacting with the TAB community has totally made Twitter worth it for me. And I guess you don't have to update every 20 minutes, some people just like to.

I am at twitter.com/divigation and the others can be found by checking out my friends and their friends if there is anyone that I have missed... There is no search for users, but if you have their nick, just throw it after twitter.com/ and you will get their page.

You can also check your twitter page and look at your followers, I just added you.

If you are using Twitterific, it seems to take a little while before new friends get added to the list in the app, at least for me.

Yeah - I was a bit against the whole thing too - but once I read phil's how-to with Quicksilver and adium, I got myself a wordpress plugin and really like it.

And if it's only 15 min of fun - I'll take it.

I have that same problem. Whenever I put my Mac to sleep and move locations, the little t icon is no longer in my Menu Bar. On relaunch, all of my settings are gone. I think I'm just going to go back to using Quicksilver to update it. I would really like to see Tweets through Growl though (something that Phil also mentioned he wanted last night on IRC).

Odd, I haven't had any problems with Twitterific crashing. Considering that I have had alot of problems with things crashing lately, I am surprised that I am the odd one out. Grateful though, because I installed QS last night and it crashed three times in the first hour, so it is off the machine at present, so QS is not an alternative option right now. Though I have been pleasantly surprised at Spotlights ability to stand in as a launcher while I have not been using QS (now if Leopard will grant Spotlight the ability to do the scores of other things that I use QS for I would be set).

Within the first hour or so it crashed twice but since then it hasn't crashed again. Don't know why, hopefully it won't do it again.

I just emailed the iconfactory people with a suggestion to take an iSight picture when you update your status and set it as your twitter avatar/picture. That would be pretty cool. They're over in Sweden so the office is closed so I probably won't get a response right away.

I have had issues with Twitterific crashing as well.
