Twitter - what do you think?

Even though you say it has merit in the "micro-blogging" field, goobimama, I really don't think that gives a real reason to use it. Even if I had something too small to blog about, what's the point of doing it if no one will read it?

Well of course my 100 odd followers will read it! What you said is right, without followers twitter is meaningless. And of course without following anyone, again it becomes meaningless. When starting twitter it is a bit awkward since there are like max 2-3 followers. But after constant tweeting, following people, the network starts to grow.

If you haven't tried twitter, you cannot say anything against it

I wouldn't quite agree with that statement. I am informed about Twitter, and its function and use. I certainly am informed enough to have an opinion. I simply choose not to use it because its purpose is of no use for me personally. And that is what my comments reflect; why it isn't for me. If I review a book I haven't read, or a movie I haven't seen, then I would agree, my opinions have little merit (or certainly little credibility). My decision not to use Twitter is well informed. I was simply sharing that reason.

And, as I stated, I personally expend energy and time in other pursuits or interests that others would not. So I certainly do not pass judgement on its use by others, and as a non-user I cannot comment on the quality or implementation of the service.

Now I'm off to complain about "Vista" on another blog - sadly, I use that on my Macbook Pro

Now now. I didn't mean that in an assertive way. I meant it more in a casual way. Cause with twitter, even I had made an 'informed decision' to stay away from it. Then I was forced to use it and now I find it is really good.
