I disabled the side buttons entirely because I had accidentally activated Exposé so many times.

I also like the Logitech's extra buttons for browser back/forward, quick search, etc. You can customize the buttons quite a bit and the general feel of the mouse works well for me. Another great feature is the scroll wheel. You can use it in 'free scroll' mode where you can spin it quickly to scroll through long docs, web pages, etc. Or you can switch to a clicking mode that gives more precise control.

That being said, I agree with divigation. This is a very personal choice.
Logitech MX Revolution is a great mouse... I love the shape.

I have a wireless Mighty Mouse and though I like it, my biggest complaint is the right-click not always working or working inconsistently.

Sometimes I will right-click and it will left-click instead or think that I am clicking and holding.

I think it is a good mouse that needs some more work from Apple. Maybe the next version will be more bug free.

The Mighty Mouse is chock full of Appley-goodness, which is why I use it.

I have never had right click issues, but the scroll ball still bugs me.

Has anyone had any problems with cracking along the bottom of the Mighty Mouse? I have a bunch of these things, and half of them are displaying these cracks.

The cracks run parallel to the bezel at different places on around the bottom edge of the top shell (I tried to take a pic - but it is difficult to get the lighting right so that you can see. If I can get one - I will post it). In these cases, the bezel has also become unglued at the bottom. I am just wondering if anyone else is seeing this.

The cracks look to me to be caused by stress/fatigue in the plastic.

I noticed the cracks because every one of the mice affected has lost the ability to right click.

The most recent instance was on the wired MM that came with my iMac. I have contacted Apple and they are sending me a replacement. They will charge my credit card if it appears that these defects are caused by physical stress. I am trying to decide if I should pursue replacements on the other ones I have (4 wireless MM's). They (Apple) were really quick to offer to replace the mouse, so I am wondering if this is a common "flaw" that they have seen before.

Got it! You can see one of the cracks. Like I said, I have 4 mice with the same cracks. I assure you that none of these mice have been abused. I am against that kind of thing.

My palm rests on the desk at all times - no force is exerted on the mouse (except when I click - and that is at the other end of the mouse).

Check out my thumb! Sweet!

I adore my mm. I find the scroll ball is a marvel - the closest performance I've gotten to a trackpad or tablet. The battery life is phenomenal, the design is nice, the tracking, in my experience, is very good on almost any surface, and the shape fits my hand really well. (And I've even got really tiny hands.)
I also like that it's exactly the same shape from both the left and the right - I regularly switch the hand I've got on the mouse, and I have trouble with a lot of mice as a result.

And no, Jugger, I've never seen cracking like that. That's really wild, actually. I'm going to go take a look at everyone's mice tomorrow, and will report back.

Edit: I checked the 250 or so machines that I've got anything to do with (yay mass email) and got no reports of either the bezel detachment or the cracking. Weird.)

I've never seen that issue with a Mighty Mouse, even in the workshop where we repair tons of machines a week... Odd...

Does anyone know how to assign a keyboard shortcut to the scroll wheel without 3rd party software? Thanks
