I'm curious as to to the battery life that MacBook users are getting after approximately one-year. Mine has begun to drop pretty drastically. I use iStat Pro and it is saying my "battery health" is at 70%. I'm not sure exactly what that means in relationship to the MacBook's ability to hold a charge. Another problem I've had as that when I get the "Low Battery" warning... I'll have maybe 6 or 7 minutes left and then "bam!" it shuts off with no warning. Anyway to correct this? Feel free to throw up your own MacBook battery tips/tricks.

After 6 months and 112 cycles I am still having 100% reports across the board (including iStat Pro). I have found, over years of owning different notebook computers from different manufacturers), that cycling the battery every now and then will help increase it's life; every time. Whatever the scientists do or don't say, it has made a real world difference here and kept me going for years on a single battery. Think of it like a heart that needs to be worked out in order to stay in such great shape.

I've had my MacBook for about 9 to 10 months and it's at 89% with 122 cycles. I hate that my battery life drops like that, but I guess that's how the cookie crumbles. I don't get those 6 or 7 min bams tho. I dunno how close I get to zero, but I m certain that it doesn't do that...

By "cycling the battery" do you mean running it until it shuts off?

My battery died completely, but was under warranty. Before it became useless, iStat showed it as 7% of the original capacity.

I get around 2.5 hours (I believe... maybe more) with 89 cycles and 89% health (from iStat Pro). I definitely can squeeze out more life but I refuse to turn down my brightness or airport.

That sucks! You can still get a replacement under warranty right?
