I had that issue a while back. Apple replaced the battery when I took it into the Genius Bar (I love my AppleCare extended warranty, it's almost worked it's way through replacing my entire MacBook in the two years I've owned it.) The genius couldn't figure out what it was, and put it down to a damaged sensor in the battery.

I don't recall having had this problem since the swap, so I guess he was right. However, my battery life is way way down again, which really sucks. I can get about two hours on a full charge, which itself can take up to four hours to complete.

Oh well, I'm retiring this Mac when I get my next student loan. Not sure whether to go for an iMac or an MBP though.

According to iStat Pro, Cycle count of 389 and still have 85% health.. I'm thinking I am pretty lucky huh? however, as soon as it gets the green light when charging I immediately unplug it, as I heard overcharging messes with battery life.. I also calibrate it at least once every 1-2 months.. I know alot of people have battery issues, but with 389 counts and still going, I beginning to think I may just be doing something right.

My MacBook was purchased in Jan. 2007 and I calibrated the battery when it was brand new and haven't done it again since and I'm at 390 cycles and it just dropped to 99% (5008 mAh) today (using iStat). I consistently get ~3 hours on the Battery. I also turn the screen down a lot.

I move around with it a lot so it's constantly charging and draining the battery, that probably helps keep it healthy.

From the other posts in this thread, it seems that I am in the minority as far as battery heath is concerned.

Hope everyone's having a good Monday.
