I'd like to watch a DVD playing on my Mac Pro on my Dell LCD monitor.

What connector should I use from the Mac to the monitor?

The monitor has just about every Video connector you can think of.

DVI, only reason to not use DVI is if you are working with a monitor that doesn't have it.

DVI only carries a Video signal correct?

How do I get the audio?

I wish the apple had HDMI

I believe the Mac Pro has optical out so if your monitor supports that you could use an optical lead. Alternatively but some speakers, they will be far better than an built in speakers on your monitor or the Mac Pro.

I connected some speakers to the unirt via the audio out jack and it works fine. I guess I'll purchase a DVD - DVI cable for the monitor.
