hey guys, just an annoying issue i've been having, when i get home, i put my MBP back onto my desk, plug the power back in, and open it up and it comes back on. And then i plug my keyboard( with mouse attached) and SOMETIMES (well most times now) it doesn't register them, and yeah pretty much don't work. Same with my external HDD plugged into the firewire port, so i then have to restart my MBP, it's kinda annoying me because i'll have stuff open from work that i don't want closed

anyone know why this is happening? is it a power issue?

I'd bring it in to an Apple Store or AASP. You may have an issue with the USB and Firewire bus.

Agreed. If it's easy for you then you could run the hardware test on your restore disks, or perhaps try running from a clean install. Most likely however it's a hardware fault. Have you tried USB ports on both sides of the machine?

yeh i've tried both sides. last night when i got home, plugged everything in and it worked all fine without a restart, so yeah like i said, it's very random at the moment.

I think i'll take it into an apple store (well reseller, where i got it from, as we dont have any "official" stores yet). I just have to find the time. ORRRR i can just get it replace, lol
