Hey. everyone im new to this forum and im new to mac having switched over from pc. I have a question i have macbook pro that i just bought a month ago and recently my download speed has been painfully slow. for example i used to download a 8 mb file in less than 15 or seconds now it takes a minute or more. Is there anything i could check or look into to improve the speed of my downloads. i have plenty of memory left.

Try testing your speed on Speakeasy's Speed Test. Your issue probably is unrelated to your MacBook. It probably has something to do with your router or network connection.

What was your speed in the speed test I linked to?

Your download speeds are a little on the slow end, but aren't abnormal. I'd check all you network hardware for any possible issues.

Try restarting your Router/Modem. Sometimes the RAM on either gets a little full after days and days of use - a restart clears this.
