Good luck with the getting your iPhone! I would also throw out there, that if you can "tread water" on a PC, you can probably "swim like a mermaid" on a Mac

BBB.... as an after -- I am looking at the 1350 plan and adding 1500 texts for starters -thats the 109 plus 15 bucks- (keeping in mind i am now going to be "home phoneless" so I need to insure i have minutes for household functionability). so we are looking at 124 plus the taxes -- it ends up costing me 15 bucks or so more than I waspaying for both home phone and this old cell with sprint stuff.... I feel its going to be wiorth every penney to have email and ipod and all the other features iphone now offers with a good camera to boot -- the instinct camera was yuck - no good....

anyway have a great night

@SheepdogMama: Not a problem on the name, BBB is good people as they say, and was posting answers to you at the same time.

This will be my second iPhone. Love my current one, but always wished it had 3G, for faster data/web use. I had also hoped for GPS, so this is great. And then there is all the software coming to iTunes. Christmas in July, as they say. Very pleased.

I supposedly pre-ordered my new iPhone through o2 here in the UK on Monday. I have not as yet heard anything so I will be calling tomorrow.

Haha, as I was looking up stories about the iPhone in Canada not doing so well in the eyes of customers, I ran across one that said something about "pre-orders not going well for o2 in the UK". I was curious so I clicked it. The problem was too many people wanted them and were crashing the o2 servers trying to pre-order them online! Haha, quite the difference from here where we have petitions out trying to get these plans changed!

@Matt, did you get one ordered?

@Yuiichi, I'm guessing you've seen today's news on the Rogers plans?

I was told today (as I was yesterday) that confirmation would be out by midnight, and that there after I should call back for confirmation or lack there of. Sounds like BS to me at this stage but I will keep trying to get a solid answer. I think it just all went very very wrong.

Massive underestimation of demand I think. 13,000 orders a second they are claiming, but I think they confused the word orders with hits. Shops, should have supply though so there is always that to fall back on.

Or just not enough production time. I'm sure you've heard the rumours that Apple diverted some Canadian shipments to Europe because of the PR backlash. It's rumoured that we'll only have 12 - 20 iPhones per store, which is either a gross underestimation or just bad planning.
