Ok, this is really going to make your minds blow.

I have a Playstation 3, and I have my trusty macbook... and I have a 3G internet thingy (see here)

Anyway, since I got the 3G, I cancelled my internet connection at home (it was around $80 US a month, internet is NOT cheap in Chile)

I connect to the internet easy peasy with the macbook, and when I normally share my internet with other mac's/iphone's/PC's.. they can connect no problems... but not my PS3.

So...

Could I use an Ethernet to connect my PS3 to my macbook, and therefor share my internet?

As I said... this question is WAY out there....

If no one is sure, don't worry... I am sure eventually with a hammer, chisel, and chainsaw I will figure it out.

: )

Sure. You can share your internet connection via your Airport card or ethernet port. This article might help:

Believe me, I have tried every single way of trying to link these things up... and it isn't possible.

After googling around for an hour... I am not the only one who can't figure this out either.

Seems the two simply aren't compatible.

Shame...
